Anaconda was built to process copper from the mines of nearby Butte. It is famous for a giant smokestack that is one of the tallest in the world.
Gaze up at the enormous Anaconda Smoke Stack, play golf on hills of black mine glass, and hike in the pretty Pintler Mountains.

The Smoke Stack
This brick tower is so tall the Washington Monument could fit inside it. It stands as a giant reminder of the town's copper days.

Pintler Mountains
Wild peaks and clear lakes rise just outside of town. Families come to hike, camp, and spot deer and eagles in the fresh air.
