You can ride the Sandia Peak Tramway up a giant mountain, watch hundreds of colorful balloons at the Balloon Fiesta, and explore Old Town with its shops and adobe buildings.

Balloon Fiesta
Every October the sky over Albuquerque fills with hundreds of hot air balloons in every shape and color, from rockets to funny animals. It is one of the most photographed events in the whole world.

Sandia Mountains
The Sandia Mountains rise right next to the city and glow pink at sunset. A long tramway carries you to the top for huge views, hiking trails, and snow in the winter.
