Brokopondo Reservoir
This is a huge man-made lake in the middle of the rainforest, dotted with many little green islands. It was created long ago by a dam on the river.
People love it for peaceful boat trips, fishing, and the surprising sight of old treetops poking out of the water. Sunsets over the lake are beautiful.
