Beach of the Cathedrals
The Beach of the Cathedrals is a wild beach in northern Spain famous for giant stone arches shaped by the sea. When the tide goes out, you can walk on the sand right under the towering rock archways.
People love it because the arches look like the tall windows and doorways of a giant cathedral made of rock. It is a magical place to explore hidden caves and tide pools.
The Tide's Magic
The sea rises and falls twice a day, and you can only walk under the arches when the water is low. At high tide the whole beach disappears under the waves.
Caves and Tide Pools
Between the arches are shady caves and little pools left behind by the sea. In those pools you can find crabs, snails, and tiny colorful sea creatures.
Shaped by Waves
The waves have been carving these rocks for thousands and thousands of years to make the arches. Slowly the sea acts like a sculptor, changing the shapes little by little.
