Park Guell
Park Guell is a colorful public park on a hill in Barcelona, also designed by Antoni Gaudi. It is full of curvy benches, wavy walls, and playful buildings covered in broken-tile mosaics.
People love it for its famous mosaic lizard fountain and the long bench that curves like a giant colorful snake. From the top there are wide views over the whole city and the sea.
The Mosaic Lizard
A famous friendly-looking lizard covered in shiny broken tiles guards the main staircase. Children love saying hello to this colorful creature, often nicknamed the dragon.
Gingerbread Houses
At the entrance are two swirly buildings that look just like houses made of gingerbread and candy. Gaudi designed them with wavy roofs so nothing looks straight or boring.
Views Over the City
The park sits high on a hill, so from the great terrace you can see rooftops all the way to the blue sea. It is a wonderful spot to rest and watch the whole city below.
