Mancora Beach

Mancora Beach

Mancora is a sunny beach town on Peru's warm northern coast. It has soft sand, gentle palm trees, and some of the warmest ocean water in the country.

It is famous as Peru's favorite beach for surfing, swimming, and relaxing in the sun. Families love the warm water, fresh seafood, and the chance to see sea turtles and whales.

Weather

Mancora is sunny and warm nearly every day of the year. The ocean stays cozy for swimming, unlike the cooler beaches farther south.

Wildlife

Gentle sea turtles glide through the shallow water near the shore. In some months, humpback whales swim by out at sea.

Activities

The steady waves make Mancora a top spot to learn how to surf. You can also build sandcastles, kite in the wind, or nap in a hammock.
