Encarnacion Beaches
Encarnacion is a sunny river city in southern Paraguay with wide sandy beaches along the Parana River. Its San Jose beach has real waves-free water, palm-shaded walkways, and a cheerful boardwalk called the costanera.
It is known as the Pearl of the South and is famous for the biggest, most colorful Carnival celebration in Paraguay. People love that a whole beach vacation is possible right in the middle of a friendly city.
City Beaches
Golden sand beaches sit right along the riverfront in town. You can swim, play beach volleyball, or just relax under a colorful umbrella.
Carnival
Every year dancers in sparkling costumes parade to happy drum music. It is the most famous Carnival in Paraguay and bursting with color.
The Costanera
A long, breezy boardwalk runs beside the river with parks and ice cream stands. It is perfect for a family bike ride or evening walk.
