Asuncion

Asuncion is the capital and biggest city of Paraguay, sitting beside the wide Paraguay River. It is full of old pink-and-white buildings, palm-lined plazas, and grand palaces from long ago.

Known as the Mother of Cities, it is one of the oldest cities in South America and the heart of Paraguay's culture. Visitors love the beautiful Palace of the Lopez glowing at night and the busy markets full of local crafts.
