Somoto Canyon
Somoto Canyon is a deep, narrow gorge in northern Nicaragua carved by a river over millions of years. Tall rock walls rise on both sides of the cool green water below.
It is famous as one of Central America's oldest rock formations and a fun place to swim, float, and jump into pools. Adventurers love paddling through the towering canyon walls in a small boat or on foot.
