Ometepe Island
Ometepe is a magical island formed by two volcanoes rising straight out of Lake Nicaragua. You reach it by ferry and find farms, forests, and quiet beaches all around.
The island is famous for its double-volcano shape and its peaceful, unhurried life. Families love its natural pools, howler monkeys, and ancient stone carvings left by early peoples.
