Lake Yojoa

Birdwatching
More than four hundred kinds of birds live around the lake, from tiny hummingbirds to big herons. Early mornings the trees are alive with songs and flashes of color.
Pulhapanzak Waterfall
Near the lake thunders Pulhapanzak, a huge waterfall that drops in a misty roar. Brave visitors can even walk behind the curtain of water with a guide.
Food and boats
Little restaurants along the shore serve fresh fried fish, a favorite local treat. You can also paddle out onto the smooth water in a canoe to see the lake up close.
