Semuc Champey

Semuc Champey

Semuc Champey is a set of natural stone pools filled with turquoise water in the middle of the jungle. The pools flow gently one into the next like a giant staircase.

It is famous because a river actually rushes underneath the pools through a natural bridge of rock. Families love swimming in the calm, warm water surrounded by green forest.

Nature Wonder

The pools sit on top of a natural stone bridge while a wild river roars below. It took nature thousands of years to make this special place.

Swimming

The water in the pools is calm, cool, and clear, so it is a great place to splash and swim. Little fish sometimes tickle your toes as you float.
