It is famous for its rows and rows of bright textiles, wooden masks, and fresh flowers. Visitors love wandering the busy market and meeting the friendly Maya vendors.
Market Day
Every Thursday and Sunday the town turns into a giant marketplace full of color. You can find toys, blankets, pottery, and tasty snacks all in one place.
Crafts
Skilled families weave cloth by hand and carve wooden animals and masks. Each piece is made with care and tells a little story of Maya life.
Traditions
On the steps of the old white church people light candles and offer flowers. It is a peaceful and special sight in the middle of the busy market.
