Chichicastenango is a highland town known for one of the biggest and most colorful markets in all of Central America. Twice a week the streets fill with stalls of handmade goods.

It is famous for its rows and rows of bright textiles, wooden masks, and fresh flowers. Visitors love wandering the busy market and meeting the friendly Maya vendors.

Market Day

Every Thursday and Sunday the town turns into a giant marketplace full of color. You can find toys, blankets, pottery, and tasty snacks all in one place.
