El Tunco Beach
El Tunco is a lively little beach town on the Pacific coast known for its dark volcanic sand and steady waves. It gets its name from a rock offshore that some people think looks like a pig ('tunco' means pig).
It is one of the most famous surf spots in Central America and a favorite for watching golden sunsets over the ocean. The relaxed streets full of food stands, music, and friendly people make it feel like a happy vacation village.

Sunsets and Rock Pools
