Pico Duarte

Pico Duarte

Pico Duarte is the tallest mountain in all of the Caribbean, rising high in the cool central highlands. Climbers hike through pine forests and misty ridges to reach its rocky summit.

It is famous as the rooftop of the islands and a big adventure for brave hikers and their families. People love camping under bright stars and watching the sunrise from above the clouds.

Scenery

From the summit you can see rolling green mountains stretching in every direction below a huge sky. On clear mornings the clouds float below your feet like a soft white sea.
