Bahia de las Aguilas
Bahia de las Aguilas is a long, wild, untouched beach in the far southwest, inside Jaragua National Park. Its five miles of pale sand and glassy water sit far from towns, kept perfectly natural.
It is famous as one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in the whole Caribbean. People love how empty and peaceful it is, with clear water so calm it looks like a giant mirror.
Nature
The bay is part of a protected park where iguanas sunbathe on the rocks and sea turtles come to nest. Dry desert cactus grows right up to the edge of the sand.
Getting There
You reach it by a bumpy road and then a short boat ride along tall cliffs, which makes it feel like a secret discovery. Because it is remote, the beach almost always stays quiet.
Scenery
White limestone cliffs frame a curve of soft sand and unbelievably clear turquoise water. With no buildings in sight, it looks exactly the way nature made it.
