Vinales Valley

Amazing Hills
The mogotes are tall rounded hills that rise straight up from the flat valley floor like green giants. They formed slowly over millions of years as rain shaped the soft limestone rock.

Hidden inside the hills are big caves with underground rivers you can float through on small boats. Long ago these caves gave shelter to people escaping danger.
Farms and Nature
Farmers grow tobacco, fruit, and vegetables in the rich red soil, often using gentle oxen to pull their plows. Bright birds and butterflies fill the warm valley air.
