Trinidad
Trinidad is a beautifully preserved colonial town in central Cuba, with pastel houses, red-tiled roofs, and streets paved with round river stones. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that looks much the same as it did hundreds of years ago.

Long ago Trinidad grew rich from sugar grown in the green Valley of the Sugar Mills nearby. You can still visit the old plantations and climb a tall tower for a wide view.

Every evening people gather on the steps near the main square to enjoy live bands and dancing. The town is famous for its friendly celebrations full of singing and colorful costumes.
