Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano

Arenal is a tall, cone-shaped volcano that rises above green forests and a big blue lake in northern Costa Rica. For many years it puffed smoke and glowed at night, and today it rests quietly while people explore all around it.

It is one of the most famous sights in Costa Rica because of its perfect shape and the steamy hot springs at its feet. Families love soaking in the warm pools while looking up at the mighty mountain.

Hot Springs

Warm rivers and pools are heated deep underground by the volcano, so you can float in cozy water even on a cool evening.
