Elqui Valley
The Elqui Valley is a sunny green valley in northern Chile, tucked between dry brown mountains and famous for its grapevines and clear skies. Little villages here are peaceful, warm, and full of fruit trees.
The valley is loved for having some of the clearest night skies in the world, perfect for watching stars. By day it glows green with vineyards, and by night it sparkles with millions of stars.
Stargazing Paradise
The skies here are so clear that observatories let visitors look through big telescopes at night. You can spot the Moon's craters, glowing planets, and the milky band of stars.
Sunny Warm Weather
The valley enjoys warm, sunny days almost all year with very little rain. This sunshine helps sweet grapes, papayas, and other fruit grow big and tasty.
Green Valley Scenery
A winding green ribbon of vineyards and fruit farms follows the river between tall dry hills. Small towns with flower-filled plazas make lovely stops for a rest.
