Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon Rainforest is the biggest rainforest in the world, and most of it is in Brazil. It is a giant green jungle filled with rivers, tall trees, and more kinds of animals than anywhere else on Earth.
It is often called the lungs of the planet because its trees make so much of the world's fresh air. Visitors take boat trips and jungle walks to discover its incredible plants and creatures.
The Mighty River
The Amazon River winds through the forest and is one of the longest rivers in the world. Pink river dolphins swim in its waters, and boats are the main way people travel here.
Amazing Animals
The jungle is home to jaguars, sloths, macaws, monkeys, and thousands of colorful frogs and insects. New animals are still being discovered here every year.
Warm and Rainy
The Amazon is hot and wet almost all year, which is why so many plants grow tall and thick. Sudden warm rain showers help keep the whole forest green and alive.
