Placencia
Placencia is a sunny beach village at the tip of a long, narrow strip of land in southern Belize. It has soft sandy beaches and a famous walking path that is one of the narrowest streets in the world.
It is famous for its long golden beaches and friendly local villages nearby. Visitors love swimming, building sandcastles, and taking boat trips to tiny nearby islands.
The Sidewalk
Placencia has a narrow walking path lined with shops and painted houses. It is so slim that it is known as one of the smallest streets anywhere.
Beach Days
The soft sand and calm water make it a great place for kids to swim and play. Palm trees give plenty of shade for a picnic by the sea.
Island Trips
Small boats take visitors out to tiny palm-covered islands called cayes for a day of fun. Along the way you might spot dolphins jumping in the waves.
