San Juan

About 340 thousand people.

San Juan

San Juan is the capital and biggest city of Puerto Rico, and it is over 500 years old. It is famous for its colorful old streets, big harbor, and friendly island spirit.

You can walk the blue cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, explore the giant seaside forts El Morro and San Cristobal, fly a kite in the grassy fields, and taste yummy mofongo.

Old Town

Old San Juan is full of rainbow-colored houses, hidden plazas, and two huge stone forts that once guarded the whole island from pirates and ships.

Beaches

Sandy beaches like Condado and Isla Verde have warm blue water where families swim, build sandcastles, and watch pelicans dive for fish.
