Malaga

About 580 thousand people.

Malaga

Malaga is a warm beach city on southern Spain's Costa del Sol, or Coast of the Sun. It was the birthplace of the famous painter Pablo Picasso.

Relax on golden beaches, climb up to the old Moorish castle called the Alcazaba for a sea view, and visit museums full of Picasso's paintings. The port has palm trees and ice cream stands.

Beaches and sun

Malaga is famous for having sunshine almost all year. Families swim, build sandcastles, and eat little fish grilled on sticks over a fire right on the beach.
