La Plata is a planned city near Buenos Aires, built on a neat square grid with diagonal streets. It is a center of learning with a famous university and a wonderful natural history museum.
You can marvel at dinosaur skeletons in the La Plata Museum, see the giant neo-gothic cathedral, and walk through the pretty Paseo del Bosque park with its little zoo and lake.
