Corriverton

About 12 thousand people.

Corriverton, also called Springlands, is a lively town in the far east of Guyana near the Corentyne River, which forms the border with Suriname. It is a busy crossing point for people and goods.

You can watch ferries head to Suriname, explore the riverside market, and taste the sugar and rice from the nearby fields.

Border Crossing

Ferries cross the Corentyne River from here to Suriname, so the town is a busy gateway between two countries.

Farm Fields

Sugarcane and rice grow all around, and the green fields make the area an important place for Guyana's farm foods.
