Ciudad del Este is Paraguay's second-largest city and a famous shopping hub near the borders with Brazil and Argentina. It sits close to the mighty Parana River and the enormous Itaipu Dam.
You can cross the Friendship Bridge, marvel at the giant Itaipu Dam that makes electricity for millions, and take a short trip to see waterfalls nearby. The busy streets are packed with shops selling everything you can imagine.
