Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and its biggest, busiest city. It is famous for tango dancing, tasty food, and grand old buildings that make it feel like a European city in South America.
You can watch colorful tango dancers in the La Boca neighborhood, visit the pink presidential palace called the Casa Rosada, and stroll through the giant Bosques de Palermo park. Do not miss the beautiful Teatro Colon opera house and the wide Avenida 9 de Julio, one of the widest streets in the world.
Food
Argentines love grilled meat called asado, and Buenos Aires has thousands of steakhouses. Kids also enjoy sweet dulce de leche and warm pastries called medialunas.
Old town
The San Telmo neighborhood has cobblestone streets and a big Sunday market full of antiques, street music, and puppet shows.
