Bilbao is a green city in the north of Spain, in the Basque Country, wrapped by hills and a river. It changed from an old factory town into a bright, modern city famous for art.
Visit the shiny silver Guggenheim Museum guarded by a giant flower-covered puppy, ride the old cable car up a green hill, and taste little snacks on bread called pintxos.

Amazing museum
The Guggenheim Museum is a wild building covered in shiny silver panels that curve like waves. Outside stands a huge puppy sculpture made entirely of living flowers.

In Bilbao people love pintxos, tiny tasty snacks served on slices of bread with a little stick through them. You hop from bar to bar trying a different one at each stop.
