Bartica is a river town where three great rivers, the Essequibo, Mazaruni, and Cuyuni, meet in the heart of Guyana's rainforest. People call it the gateway to the interior.
You can ride boats to gold and diamond mining camps, splash at nearby river beaches, and see the huge Essequibo River, the widest in the country.
