Marketplace Rules & Regulations

1. Absolutely Prohibited

These items can NEVER be sold or advertised here:

a) Regulated Substances

• Alcohol (beer, wine, liquor, home-brew)
• Tobacco in any form -- cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, pipes, vape, e-cigarettes, nicotine products
• Illegal drugs of any kind
• Prescription medications (even your own)
• Cannabis, marijuana, or CBD products (even where legal)
• Steroids, hormones, performance-enhancing substances

b) Weapons & Dangerous Equipment

• Firearms, pistols, rifles, shotguns (even for collection)
• Ammunition, cartridges, gunpowder
• Gun parts, gun-build kits, suppressors / silencers
• Combat knives, brass knuckles, switchblades (where illegal), batons
• Tasers, stun guns (where they require a license)
• Explosives, fireworks, dynamite, grenades
• Hazardous chemicals, industrial pesticides, compressed gases

c) Sexual Services & Adult Content

• Companionship or "friendship" services with any sexual implication
• Escort services, sensual massage, pay-per-date arrangements
• Pornographic material, adult photos or video
• Adult-only items, sex toys
• Any marriage, romance, sex, or "sugar" offer

d) Stolen or Counterfeit Goods

• Any stolen item
• Knock-offs / counterfeits (fake Rolex, fake brand bags, fake designer clothes)
• Pirated software, movies, music, or books
• Fake IDs, fake college degrees, fake credentials
• Counterfeit currency, blank checks, fake financial instruments

e) Financial Schemes

• Pyramid schemes or multi-level "marketing" opportunities
• "Get rich quick" opportunities
• Personal loans or payday-loan services
• Investments, cryptocurrency, digital coins, NFTs
• Tax-evasion services or "IRS secrets"
• Lottery tickets, betting, gambling services
• Gift cards (Western Union, gift cards, etc. -- scammers use these)

f) Life & Body

• Live animals (exception: pet adoptions with cost-only fees)
• Wild or exotic animals
• Endangered-species products (ivory, protected animal parts)
• Organs, blood, semen, eggs, human parts
• Human remains, ashes
• Surrogacy or adoption compensation

g) Restricted Medical Items

• Prescription-only medical devices (used CPAP without license, etc.)
• "Miracle cures", unapproved supplements with medical claims
• Used cosmetics, used undergarments
• Items subject to a manufacturer recall

h) Illegal Services

• Any service that breaks a federal, state, or local law
• Violence-for-hire, intimidation, threats
• Ticket scalping above face value (where prohibited)
• Services to evade law enforcement, lock-picking tools
• Off-the-books work / cash-only-no-taxes services

2. What you CAN sell

• Used household items, in good condition, honestly described
• Furniture, tools, appliances, vehicles
• Handmade items you made yourself
• Books, physical music, movies (originals, not pirated)
• Honest legal services: gardening, sewing, translation, lessons, pet-sitting
• Requests for items you are looking to buy

3. Honesty on every listing

• Describe the item exactly -- condition, defects, age
• Photos must be of the actual item, not catalog photos
• No exaggerating or lying about price or brand
• Do not post the same listing many times (spam)

4. Safety

• Never share your Social Security or bank info
• If someone asks you to pay with gift cards or wire transfer -- it is a scam, report it
• Meet in a public place during the day
• Bring a family member or friend to the handover
• Mr Martin watches chats for these scam patterns

5. What happens if you break the rules

• First time: the listing is removed and your account is suspended until we review what was done. At that time we decide whether to reinstate the account or close it for good.
• Repeat any offense: permanent ban
• Drugs, weapons, sexual, gift-card scams: instant ban with no warning
